DD took great care of her teeth, brushed, flossed, stayed away from soda and a year later the results are pearly white and equally cute. She’s sad about losing her chipmunk teeth but I’m not so sure about her love for them. Whether she accepts it or not, the 2 buck teeth were impacting her negatively. She would smile without showing her teeth. No amount of cajoling would get her to show her teeth on camera. The few pictures we have of her smiling widely were taken when she was unaware of being photographed.
She was better once she got her braces but we’ve definitely gotten bigger smiles from her in the last 2 days than we did in the last year and a half. I am thrilled to bits. My baby’s smile is back.
Now we have to wait 4 years and then go to work on her lower jaw. Here’s to a future full of toothy smiles.

wow!! The change is so very cute!!! She has a nice (though a little hesitant, at least in the picture) smile!!!
You actually caught onto the fact that the last smile was hesitant, great eye!!! She was at the dentist’s office with her dad and her dad will insist on clicking pictures until he has the perfect shot. He must hv clicked abt 10 and she must hv refused to let him click anymore, so he sent me the best of the lot which was this one. He did come grumbling abt the fact that she wouldn’t't let him get a better picture.
And here’s to a future of full of happy, toothy and healthy smiles
Amen!!
