They had married because she was pregnant. She had lost that first baby right after they married and in the 8 years since had not conceived a child. 2 weeks ago he moved out saying he had found the love of his life. Today she stood in the bathroom with a positive pregnancy test in hand.
P.S: I had no idea what to title this one, hence the uninspired FF1
Very tragic and painful.
Powerful writing!
Thanks ME!!
Life has its own ways. Man proposes and God disposes.
Oh yeah… that does happen quite regularly in life, doesn’t it?
If he left her for someone else, whatever the reason, I guess she is better off without him. And the baby? Well, she will be a great mother!
Sometimes, the best things come out of the worst situations
Sad story. I agree with Zephyr, though.
I am sure she’s better off without him. I was trying to present the irony, that is life
how do u come up with such fantastic stories? I wish I could also write as beautifully as you do
Hey Ambika,
The beautiful thing about writing is there are as many beautiful works as there are writers. As long as one writes with sincerity, good grammar and spelling (the last 2 are my pet causes), all writing is beautiful
Something good can come from tragedy, I sure was hoping to convey that.
Life, is not without it’s sense of irony!
What a plotline. Very well written!
See, I should have titled it Irony. Where were you Janhvi, when I was struggling with insipid and uninspired names?
Hard hitting ..
She and the child are better off without him
They are. In that moment, though, I wonder if she thought that.
Tragic but she is better off without him!
oh BTW, wanted to tell you from long but somehow I forgot, you had written about Noor Inayat Khan, a statue of her was unveiled sometime back

Absolutely, i think so too. Thanks so much for the link. I’m glad to see her honored, very very delayed, but it’s time she got her due. She was beautiful, wasn’t she? I wonder how they used that against her when trying to break her. *Shudder*
