What’s the deal with Valentine’s day? he said in disgust and she agreed. They both thought back to the day they had had. He’d bought his secretary a beautiful bracelet and spent the lunch hour in her apartment. She had spent the afternoon planning a quick getaway with her lover during the next business trip.
Edited to Add: This is an extremely cynical POV on Valentine’s Day. I tried to do an honest to goodness post about Love, romance and the awesomeness thereof but just couldn’t do it. Maybe someday soon, i will manage that.
Cynicism in someone so young, Meera?
But still this is a brilliant piece of writing. Superb.
Not as young as you think, Sudha

Yes, it is all about finding personal happiness. That’s the only silver lining in this sordid tale
Refreshing change from all the mush floating around!
